Just a quick fyi, my pediatricians office has been inundated with Swine Flu. They started seeing a sharp upward spike last week. My little sister (who does not live in my home) also has symptoms. So that is the Draper, Riverton and Herriman areas. I am thinking of all our little heart kiddos, be careful out there!

Has anyone heard about any recommended isolation (like RSV season)?

We are still going out and living life, just being careful. My doctor said just to watch where we go and wash hands, wash hands, wash hands. But my heart baby has repaired TOF so she is in pretty good shape now. Also, this flu is not really worse than the regular flu.

All four of my kids actually had the Swine Flu a few weeks ago. Don't let it fool you, it seems to be a bit nastier than the regular flu. My pediatrician told me (before we got sick) to treat it like RSV season and ensure handwashing, covering of mouths, staying away from those that are sick and trying to keep the kids out of grocery stores, malls, etc. Places where not only your baby/child is sitting in that cart, but other kids as well. IF I have to take Kyler I always wash the cart as well as any part of it where Kyler will have access. Sanitize your hands, as well as your children's.....but remember to remind the younger ones NOT to put their hands in their mouths as sanitizer contains alcohol. (A friend of mine knows a child who ended up in the ICU because they ingested sanitizer and ended up very ill with alcohol poisoning).
Hope everyone else manages to be Swine Flu Free! =)
