A big THANKS goes to Aimee Hardy, her husband Marc (known as Hardy) and the committee (Andrea Mathis, Hilary Cook, Melissa Andrew, Jodi Clark) in getting this event off the ground and all their hard work to make it a success. A thank you also goes out to Aimee's parents for doing the snow-cones, Bruce Ellinger for taking the pictures, Maria at PCMC for presenting on Humor and Keith Huber, who did an excellent magic show. If you at all helped and I didn't mention your name, please forgive me, I really did appreciate your help!!!
The heart shaped dessert contest was a big hit! I was surprised that so many were submitted. There were four categories. Below are the categories along with the winners and what they received as a prize.
Most Creative – Mindi Cox, Applebees and Gateway Cinema gift cards
Best Tasting- Rebecca Patton, Cold Stone and Gateyway Cinema gift cards
Appearance- Hilary Cook, 4 Salt Lake Bee’s Tickets
Overall Best –Cindi Green, 4 single day Splash passes to Cherry Hill along with a bucket of fun sand toys.
Thanks to all those that contributed in making a dessert or a salad to share. There was more than enough Pizza, salads, and desserts, so nobody should have gone home hungry.
It was great to get to meet some of the members I hadn’t yet met and also to catch up with those I hadn’t seen in a while. It was inspiring to see some of our little heart hero’s that were able to come that have battled very hard lately. In the end, I hope you all had as great of a time as I did.
