I have some ideas for a tree for next year and I got the idea from some wrapping paper! I suggest we title it, "A Patchwork Christmas" I feel as a survivor of a CHD and surgery to correct it, I have a unique perspective. I have always felt like a less than perfect person who was patched up by the doctors. I have scars to prove it and so do all the children who undergo the surgery. Anyway, I'm just throwing it out to all of you and I will post a scan of the wrapping paper I mentioned. I've been looking at a book of Crazy quilts and I will work on making one for the tree.

Vicki, I think that is a very cute idea. It is never too early to start planning!

That sounds very cute. I can not sew, but I would be happy to buy some things for the tree. A lot of good stuff will be going on clearance in a couple of weeks. Can I buy some ornament bulbs or fabric? I am happy to follow directions and help out.
Loved the tree this year, it was beautiful!

I think that sounds like a cute idea! I would love to help, and I can sew. I'll start thinking of ideas too! I have a friend who has a quilting machine, I'm sure she'd quilt the tree skirt for us if we wanted. (Unless you hand quilt?) I like planning ahead and early, much less stress than last minute.
By the way, Mike told me you were able to finish the Scarecrow...I'm so glad!

I love the idea, I can sew a little and I have a ton of cute stichies that have heart sayings on them. I would love to help out... Just let me know if that is something that you would want.
