Hey Everyone,

My employer is switching insurance carriers from Blue Cross/Blue Shield to United HealthCare. Has anyone here ever had United HealthCare and if how so would you rate them?

And I LOVE them. They have been so great to work with, and have covered SOOOOO much! We switched from Altius (which I did love) about 2 years ago. I didn't realize how good UHC was until we had Maddox. They assigned us 2 RN's to follow Maddox. They call every once in awhile just to check up on us, and I can call them anytime for any help. Maybe different employers have different plans, but our experience has been so great. They covered ALL of Maddox's surgeries- everything. We only had to pay the hospital co-pay. So I would give them a 9/10.

(The only thing I don't love is their voice automated system, it's so sensitive. With kids talking and babies crying in the background, you never know which department you'll end up at. But they've always been so good to get me in the right place.)
